This Strad model cello by Andrew Carruthers is an incredibly gorgeous instrument covered by “bear claw,” present in the spruce on top. It is very easy to play, with a velvety and lightning sound. It was chosen to be used for a Carnegie Hall debut in December 2018. 

European spruce top and maple back.
