Optimization and Repairs

Instruments, like cars, need regular maintenance to ensure that they keep working well! Schedule an appointment to visit our shop in northeast Baltimore for a seasonal adjustment, an upgrade to your setup, or to discuss how to optimize and get the most from your instrument. We enjoy empowering our clients and keeping them in the loop of what is being done to their instruments, and if there are any preventative maintenance measures that they can take.

Through intense apprenticeships with top luthiers across the country, we continue to build our knowledge base of safe and effective ways to help you and your instrument.

In the words of our clients… “Hello! Just wanted to say thank you again for this morning!! I’ve just had a lovely playing session with my cello and I feel all my excitement for playing returning. Thank you and Emmanuel for your patience and persistence.”

Studio and School Visits

All instruments deserve equal attention, and we understand that it’s not easy to transport an entire section of string instruments in your vehicle. That’s why we offer on-site maintenance workshops for students and teachers, triages, adjustments or repairs, and instrument transportation in case of longer projects. Get in touch with us to schedule a clinic date at your studio or school!

In the words of teachers…

“Emmanuel and Frances made it so easy to get my student’s cellos back in shape in time for our spring recital! I had parents fill out a form indicating what they were comfortable with, and drop off instruments to my studio in the morning. By the time they came back in the afternoon, all ten cellos had been carefully checked over and worked on for tonal adjustments, seam gluing, bridge straightening, and more…” Megan Miller, Lively Strings Studio

“Grace Albert Strings was fantastic to work. They gave clear estimates and work updates, picked up and dropped off instruments, and helped us stay within budget.” Hayden Denesha, Elizabethtown College
